    ICDP stands for Integrated Cooperative Development Project

2. Which Department is implementing this Project ?

    This Project is being implemented through the Department of Cooperation.

3. Who sponsors this Project?

    This Project is sponsored by National Cooperative Development Corporation, New Delhi.

4. Period of this Project?

    Five Years

5. In which form financial assistance will be given to the Coop. societies under this Project?

    Financial assistance will be given to the coop. societies in the form of Loan, Share Capital and Subsidy under this Project.

6. What are the benefits for the cooperative societies by implementation of this Project?

    This project aims at providing financial assistance to coop. societies to improve their basic infrastructure facilities. This enhances their working capital     and assets are created. This facilitates business development of societies and strengtheningtheir economic stability. By construction of godowns, storage     capacity will be increased, thereby helping members to store their agricultural produce and also in marketing.

7. In which districts I.C.D.P. has been implemented in Karnataka State?

    In Karnataka State, in Bangalore (Rural), Chickmagalur and Chitradurga districts, ICDP is already implemented.

8. In which district is ICDP presently being implemented?

    ICDP is presently being implemented in the district of Gulbarga (2006 – 2011)

9. Which are the Agencies/Teams taking part in the implementation of ICDP?

    1) Project Implementing Agency (PIA) – concerned District Central Coop. Bank Ltd.
    2) Project Implementing Team (PIT) – includes Coop. Department official (General Manager) and Team

10. Who has prepared the Project Report for the current project?

    Agricultural Finance Corporation Ltd., (A F C) Bangalore.
