The house building Cooperative societies numbering has performed a significant role in our state. The housing Cooperatives have so far acquired acres of land in different paths of the state and consequently are able to distribute sites to their members.

THE KARNATAKA STATE COOPERATIVE HOUSING FEDERATION LTD.,

The Karnataka State Co-operative Housing Federation Ltd., Bangalore was Registered in the year 1950. Federation has got share capital of Rs.517.55 lakhs for 2017-18 with a collection of Rs.26.85 lakhs during the year. Rs.53.36 lakhs of share capital has been refunded to societies. At the end of 2018-19 year share capital contribution from member societies and individual loanees is to the tune of Rs 491.01 lakhs.

During the year Rs.1,13,07,614 reserve fund and term deposit of Rs.6,14,81,805.32 has been collected. In the present year 2018-19 70 cases of loans have been sanctioned to member house building cooperative societies to the tune of Rs.508.30 lakhs. Out of this primary housing societies have been sanctioned to Rs.290.00lakhs in 41 cases for construction of houses, 16 cases of development loan / extension loan amounting to Rs.112.10lakhs and in 7 direct cases Rs.47.30lakhs have been sanctioned. Totally 6 cases of loans out of the direct individual loans 3 house construction loans of Rs.38.5 lakhs, 1 development loan of Rs.7.50lakhs and 2 site purchase loans of Rs.12.9 lakhs are included.

Default loans were very high in the past, hence prime attention has been given to legal action coverage and recovery of these default loans has seen a commendable performance. During the year Rs.1527.90lakhs loan is recovered. Recovery proportion to the demand is 80.35%.
